2011 GT Automatic
What's up gear heads. So I have 2011 GT Automatic trans and I'm just wondering what are the little things I can do to make my car faster without harming the engine. I already have an after market exhaust and cold air intake.
Short of making your 6R80 lock-up catastrophically while driving 60MPH, I doubt there is much you can do to your AT to damage your engine.
Get a tune; that is necessary for your exhaust and your CAI. And in your tune, ask your tuner to retune your AT's shift points for faster acceleration. The stock shiftpoints are for daily driving. I don't think the 2011 ATs have a performance mode. (As a matter of fact, I don't think even the 2014 ATs have a performance mode, but I'm not sure because I never driven a Mustang with the 6R80.)

the 13's and 14's have a sport mode, helps a little, but not too much in the 1/4 mile.
A tune will help, suspension mods will help if you are racing at all, you can change out the cams, you can put on a Boss or Cobra Jet intake for not too expensive, and you can also do a supercharger or turbo for a big power boost. It all depends on what you want to spend and how in depth you are thinking.
I would recommend the Boss or CJ for a more simple bolt on (versus cams), and of course a tune to go with it. I have heard of people with the CAI, intake manifold, tune, and exhaust getting over 400 to the ground without issues, if not closer to 425.
hope that helps!

A lot of people forget about the torque convertor. I installed a 3000 stall on mine. best mod I have done and ive done a lot to my car. I would say you would really llike it. It keeeps your car in the power band all the time.
A tune does wonders for auto trannies. AM and Brenspeed can both fix you up there. A tune not only tunes the motor but with the auto it totally improves the entire experience. Go for it asap ou wont be dissappointed.
A custom tune is going to be the best bang for your buck without going F/I. 808 is on the money recommending Brenspeed and AM. Best in the business for a baseline tune. I always like tinkering with them from there but Brenspeed will give you a nice setup. My 07 V6 ran 15.40s stock with a CAI and exhaust. I got it to run 14.60s with a tuner from AM. Same deal with my GT. Ran 13.70s and ended up in the 13.20s. Youll thank yourself for buying it.
