Default Adaptive learning or surging?

This has happened to me before and i thought i was just imagining. Recently i found way to trigger this rpm surge like during shift. If im lightly on gas when it reach around 40-45 car will shift and sometimes rpm will rise about 300 instead of droppinp during upshift. This does not happen all the time, seems 50/50. Sometimes it wont surge rather stay the same rpm while upshift (im guessing it went in neutral). Mine is an auto btw. I seen this on other thread with auto owners with same random surge but no solution.

Not tuned stock, also like to add sometimes it will shift normal than all of sudden it will flare up about 300rpm. All of this happens during around 42mph upshift with light gas foot.

It does it almost everytime now when im light(feather it and it should stay under 2k while accelerating) on the gas, hold it and let it accelerate till 42mph and it will surge (2-300rpm) or rpm will stay the same while upshifting. Any idea what might be causing this in the transmission? Also anyone want to give their auto a try at this?

Is there a reason why you aren't taking it to your dealer to investigate?

Hi 13’GT Black,

I recommend you get it looked at by your Ford Dealer. Also, let me get this escalated to the customer service manager for you area. Please, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.
