Default wrench light came on for a few seconds

I have done some research on this and was looking for your opinions. I have a 2014 GT and when I started it in the morning a few days ago the wrench symbol illuminated for a few seconds and then went off. I didnt notice anything else different except just that. It caught me off guard becasue I have not seen that before. The car has 8000 miles on it, and was wondering if this is something that comes on occasionally just to test the bulb, or could this be the beginning of more issues to come? It has not come since then. Thanks for any input.

mine flashed for 30 secs every once in a while and i had like half power, this was eventually fixed under warranty by replacing the crank position sensor

When you first turn the key on and crank up ALL the dash lights for options you have should illuminate for a few seconds then go out. You probably just never noticed it before

I'm pretty retentive when it comes to my car(almost to the point of ADD according to my wife). When I turn the key I wait till I hear the fuel pump stop priming, and look at all the gauges and lights and then start it. So i know for a fact the light has never come on before, until that day. Does anyone else have that light come on everytime prior to starting their vehicle? I checked codes that day and obviously no code was thrown.

Hello dslpow3r,

Have you addressed this with your dealer yet? Maybe the service manager is a little more familiar with this. Let me know what they say, also PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service manager for your area if needed.
