i think the noise your talking bout has to do with a TSB, i dont have the number of it off the top of my head but it deals with upper strut bearings or soemthing like that, my car has this issues as well...

Default RE: CREAKING NOISE

Hello. I just bought a 2007 Mustang GT Convertible. Only 250 miles. Unless I was too happy to notice when I drove it off the lot, I am now just noticing a creaking sound coming from the left rear part of the car, doesn't matter if top is up or down, or if the doors are open or closed. The creaking sound only occurs when I put on a little (or a lot) of acceleration in just about any gear.

Sounds like body panel issue more than suspension issue. When I get out of the car and rock it I do not hear any noise.

What was the TSB for the 2005 model that addressed this issue? Anyone else know? I'd like to find out a little more before taking it back to the dealer. I never have confidence they will figure these noises out.

Thanks!

I just had this TSB performed on my 05 GT. The paperwork reads TSB 05-09-11
Replace upper strut bearings and nuts.

Hope this helps.
