Default how much boost can i have

I have a 2011 5.0L 6 spd manual s/c (roush). power train warranty is up so now i want to do some upgrades. long tube header x pipe, roush phase 3 kit or (smaller pulley c/a intake and tune), suspension kit and big brake kit.oh ya and a wet nitrous kit.

my question is how much boost and hp can i put to the ground with out touching the internals of the engine. and not blowing it up this summer ?

I would consider 10lbs to be the safe limit for pump gas, but a friend of mine used to run 12-14lbs with race gas.

I daily drove my 2011 5.0 M6 with the ProCharger at 10lbs, but then I built the motor so I could crank up the boost.

ya i seen your ride grey 2011 coupe ? i could not decide on build motor now or max out the stock 5.0l till it pilles up then do a rebuild. how much $$$ did your motor cost if you dont mid me asking ? i live up in canada so the stang is parked for the next few months so i thought i would do my up grades now aside from the motor rebuild. from what i have read the new 5.0l seems to be a pretty strong motor.

Yessir, the grey 2011 5.0 is mine. I think Ike at MPR Racing Engines does the Wolverine 5.0 package for $7,000, and it's good for 1000hp. The stock motor is fine at 10lbs, but I wanted more.

Well the FRPP SC kits make 624HP @ 9psi. If you put on a real set of long tube headers like American Racing you will lose about 2psi due to better cylinder scavenging making same HP on less boost. You may be able to get a slightly smaller pulley from Roush then what comes with their stage 3 kit. I'd discuss it with them for absolute best tech answers
