Default Rear Window Defogger

My defogger quit working. Found the connector became unsoldered and fell off. Is it possible to have this fixed?

go to www.frostfighter.com and you can order a kit to repair it. That kit worked better than any of the attempts that the dealer made at it.

There are kits for doing it yourself. They even make add-on grids for a ton of vehicles...but not for my Bronco.

Anyhow, that may set you up for success.

Has anyone successfully soldered this back into place? This just happened on my '10 convertible.

Their kit looks like it includes some conductive "glue."

Thanks!

Do not try to solder the terminal back on. You will just do more damage. Get one of the conductive epoxy kits.

I surface solder at work from time to time and I think you'd have a hell of a time doing even a marginal job on this. It's a terrible location, it's a gigantic heat sink and it's on a fragile material.

But that's just me.

Goldenpony, I hope you'll follow up with a review of how things went. I think more than a few people would gain something from it.

I just used the Frost Fighter kit on Saturday. I also used a new tab that I got from them. Very easy to do, just clean the window, tape off a square around where the original tab attached, sand the square lightly, apply the epoxy in the square and to the tab, and put the tab on. I did the heat cure which is leave it alone for 10 minutes and then heat it with a hair dryer on high for another 20 min. Today was the first real chance to test it and it works great.
