Exclamation Adding Bluetooth to shaker 500 (2009 no sysnc)

I have a 2009 mustang(no microsoft sync) and want to add bluetooth for streaming apps like iheart radio and for hands free calls. I want be to be able to use the system without having to leave it in the aux setting all the time and without upgrading the radio. Is this possible ? If so what do I need ?

Thanks for your help !!

there's a kit you can buy to add SYNC to your car.

if you don't want to go that way, then you could get an aftermarket head unit with BT but those are a little more of a pain to get everything working when you have a Shaker system.

There are aftermarket bluetooth kits, like these from Parrot that you can add to your stock head unit. Less functionality than sync I believe however.

I put a new head unit in mine. I now stream Pandora and take my call hands free. Cost $200. Crutchfield sent everything needed and they answered any questions I had.
