Hey folks

Hope you can help. I have a speedometer repair shop in Canada and have run into a problem with 2005 Conv't V8 4.6L.

The car was sent to the UK and we convert the speedometer to MPH from Kph. The new speedo was ordered through a Ford dealer in the US.

The car at 78-80 Mph starts to beep 10 times (Over Speed Sensor) and also when in reverse.

The problem I have is I cannot see the car as it is in the UK. I have read your forum where it discusses this problem. https://mustangforums.com/m_368221/tm.htm

The Ford people in the UK have found the ‘AS BUILT’ code to enter into the computer of 20 E 3 00 00 00 2C. And they have also come up with the same DTC code DTC B2477

They are unsure what entering this may do to the car and informed me it may cause other computer problems, such as immobilization or dial problems.

Can they fix it with their diagnois system?
Will this cause computer problems or dial problems?
What caused this?
What is the quickest way to fix this?


Any ideas would be great
