Default Possible Lighting Idea

My in-laws just bought a 2014 maxima. Its a pretty car inside and out. anywhos, i noticed when u either unlock the car with the fob or open the doors, there are bright white lights that run along the underside of the rocker panels. i really like it and wouldnt mind having my car do the same. Not blue, green, red, yellow or any color in between just white when i unlock or open the door. it looks "classy" i guess. ill try and find a picture thanks for any opinions

Would be easy to do with LED strips but hard to keep clean I'd imagine...

That would be a pretty easy thing to set up. I hope you are wanting this for parking lot visibility and not to drive around town looking like an a$$hat.

I assure u I have no plans to drive around with these on. Like I said in the initial post, they would just come on when I unlock the door and or open the doors. Then turn off when the doors shut, the car locks, or when I turn the key. Basically they need to do exactly what the dome lights do.

You could probably tap into the power source for the illuminated door sills in our cars??!?!?

No factory lighted door sills on a 2005. Would probably be easiest to tap into the dome light assembly.

I got a couple LED panels to use as footwell lights, going to tap off the dome light wiring for those.

Sounds like a cool idea. Post pics when you get it finished.
