Default E Force Cold Air Intake Worth it?

I recently installed an Edelbrock Supercharger. I am getting a custom tune for it. Ordered from VMP. I can also get my hands on an
E force Cold Air Intake made for the charger for a pretty good price. But was wondering if it will make any difference. I've seen mixed reviews on stock set ups but was wondering with Supercharger if it would make more sense. Appreciate any advice. thanks

with a supercharger you want the least restrictive intake as possible, you also want the air intake to draw actual cool air. meanin if the filter is exposed to underhood air you are drawing in hot air, here is a link to kenne bell's finding on cold air intakes, and what to watch for

Good article. Actually I thought the car felt like it had more power when cool or before ran too long. This kind of confirms it.

In reading the edelbrock description it says it's race only. Will I have trouble with emission testing in future?

you might, if it doesnt have a carb # and if it says off road it may not pass emissions. but you could always put the other one back on for testing and after u get a pass put the edelbrock back on till next time.

Get the Edelbrock CAI. It is basically an Airaid unit with a bigger MAF sensor than stock. It will come in handy if you ever pulley down for more power. VMP will need to change the tune for it and you'll likely have to do a bunch of datalogging to dial it in.

It won't affect the actual emissions. If you live in a state where they are sticklers for CARB visual stuff, drive to the inspection station and stick your stock airbox in for the testing, then change it back over before you leave
