Default AC shutting off/ Dashboard knocking

Hey guys,

I'm a new Mustang owner and I'm having a bit of a problem with my AC. When I start my car, I have a loud knocking noise under my dash for about a minute and then my AC shuts off. For the minute that my AC is actually on, it can still get hot or cold. Just wondering if anyone has any input.

Is it sort of a clicking noise?

check out 20 second mark and the comments section. Seems like a common issue and there were a few threads here too recently about something similar.

Sooo...without watching the vid...a blend door actuator?

You can do a quick calibration procedure to help troubleshoot the issue. Once you confirm the problem, if it is an actuator, you should perform this calibration again after replacing the bad one to avoid any other problems.

I did this when my system got stuck on defrost (never use it). Had to do the procedure twice to get the actuator unstuck. No issues since.
