Default Upper dash? Broken

Hi, my mustangs upper dash (I don't know what it's really called) recently broke and I wanted to know where I can find the part and if it's easy to change the part. Ford said the labor cost would be pretty high but I wanted to know if you guys can help out :P

This is my first time posting and you guys have a really cool site

My roommate replaced his entire dash in his eclipse a week or two ago, and he paid about $700 just for the part and shipping. No idea where he got it, but $700 seems quite ridiculous to me. He installed it himself in an afternoon, was just a lot of screws and clips, nothing crazy. I can't imagine it would be much different in a mustang.

As far as where to get one, I have no idea, but best of luck and hope someone can help you figure it out, and welcome to the forums!

I just did a quick search on car-part.com for a 2005-09 dash assembly in Arizona and found several. Would be worth checking with those wreckers to see if they have exactly what you need.

The dash pad isn't separate from the dash assembly. New, they are around $1200. Check championmustang.com. It is a bear to change out, no way an easy job. They do sell covers though, they are around $100.
