I just had a shop replace my seat covers with new takeoff covers I bought several years ago. Even though I told the guy to be careful with the seat airbags, when I picked it up the airbag light was on and flashing a code 51. He obviously disconnected them without disconnecting the battery first.

How in the world do you clear codes like this? The normal procedures don't work.

Any advice?

 

Problem solved. I called the interior guy. Said he had his nephew re-install the seats and maybe he didn't reconnect it. Checked. Yup, just a bonehead move. Light is out now. It pays to check the little things first.
