its not about feelings.....its about facts. the only winners here are the people who get the help they need.

I'll take the blame for mentioning bands in the first place. Even though for the purposes of this thread it doesn't much matter whether any given automatic transmission has them or not.

Ok, you're still not letting go, hmm? Common courtesy, displayed by everyone here but you, has resulted in a good dose of "facts" for everyone, including me. No harm has been done, nobody was even talking about the 5R55 in the first place so, can you just unwind the turnbuckles a turn? You're starting to sound like a keyboard commando here.

sigh whatever man. you stated theat they havnt used bands since the 70's, i pointed out that that was incorrect, and used the 5r55 as an example.

i fail to see how posting in response to your ramblings.......

"not offended, but bad information on an information based forum is bad news. blanket statements are also misleading and a bad idea, thats all"

and....

"its not about feelings.....its about facts. the only winners here are the people who get the help they need."

somehow constitutes being a keyboard commando. i would rather point out bad information, rather than let people use it. sorry if you cant handle that and have to respond with passive aggressive posts, no safe places for the "feels" here lol

Well, a keyboard commando feels compelled to correct every error on the web, usually in the rudest way possible. That seems to fit your responses here.

There was never any need for you to be a jerk about it but, you were as evidenced by your own words, "You obviously don't know anything about transmissions..." You totally overstated the impact of my error, as if I'd broken the internet with it. You further call my statements,"ramblings" and; keep the freedom to point out error to yourself alone. I don't have to "handle it" any more than you have to agree with my initial statement.

You keep doubling down on the micro aggression, it's obvious.

as long as its in the lug itself, and doesnt penetrate into the steel belt area, you should be fine

Im worry due to the deep crack, it will spread down the road and cause a blow out.
