intremittent engine overheating

If it goes from cod to instant hot it could be the head temp sensor. If they go bad they give false readings. Happened with mine.

Yes, I linked you the stock one. The GT500 one is 300 dollars and unless you're racing it's overkill

I got an upgraded thermostat from Rock Auto that, if it fails, fails in the open position. I will install it this spring.
