Default 2005-09 4 piston caliper upgrade guide for those who think they can't afford it.

Here's how to get rebuilt 4 pot calipers and 14" rotors in the front and 13.8 rotors in the rear for the lowest possible amount.
The only downside is that the calipers come unpainted (which I actually prefer, since every ricer puts Brembo stickers or covers on their stock calipers)

Total cost for me: 432 dollars (pads not included). You can't even buy used front Brembo calipers for that price, much less the whole set. This is fully bolt on with nothing to cut. The only thing you need to do is remove the rotor dust covers since they are smaller diameter. If you only do the fronts it's even cheaper. I went with the 13.8 rotors in the rear more for aesthetics than anything else. The little 11.5"rotors looked ridiculous inside the 19" wheels.

NOTE: Make sure your wheels will clear these brakes, they are huge. Also, shop around, you might get an even better deal. These were the cheapest I found but there must be other shops that carry them.

I didn't know you could go with a larger rotor and still keep the stock caliper in the rear. Any benefit in braking performance? Wouldn't it affect the ABS?

All S197's use the same rear caliper. A little one piston really ugly caliper. The difference is in the diameter of the rotor. The further away the more leverage it applies. As far as the ABS goes I have pushed the car really hard and haven't experienced any issues with the ABS kicking in, but keep in mind I'm running 285 tires all around, and grippy ones at that, but so far no lockup in front or rear.

Yup, that's why I got rid of my Bullits. I made them work with the front calipers but using a 1" spacer. They looked OK and didn't poke out of the fenders but I don't like spacers, they move the wheel away from the strut, which is not ideal and introduce another possible point of failure on the track. Here are some photos of the front brembos with the 18"bullits, I hadn't done the rears yet. That setup was 255/45R18 front and 285/40R18 rear on 18x9 and 18x10 respectively.
