Default Whaty kind of tire pressure sensors are in the tires

I looked at the valve stem and it looks like a normal rubber one.
I got the light on and wanted to get that fixed, I just bought the car.
Its a 08 GT..

OEM the sensors are mounted to the inside of the rim with a metal strap. Cheaper to get aftermarket valve mounted ones

It depends upon the year. 2013 the valve stem type as OEM. 2008 the band is inside the wheel with a regular valve stem.

Thanks..

If I get some aftermarket ones that go in the valve stem hole.

How do I program them to my car?

Also is there a place to get a owners manual and maybe a fsm....??

I don't think that the different types are compatible across the years. Could be wrong, but I think that you have to stick with the type for your model year.

You can buy valve stem mounted sensors for 2005-09 mustangs that come with the programming tool. These are the ones I have: https://lmr.com/item/LRS-1177AK/2007...-training-tool

Look in the tire rack. Now, those are expensive.

^^ This.

My 08 had band mounted sensors. I switched to valve stem style ones on my second tire change about 3 years ago. I got mine from a place that does just TPMS sensors and kits. They're super nice with a chrome valve stem and matching cap. To be honest I don't recall what I paid but it was under $200 and I just had Discount Tire install them when I had my new tires installed. They didn't charge me anything to swap them out.

They look identical to these but I didn't get them at CJ Pony Parts

They're not interchangeable in the sense that if you buy a valve stem style sensor by looking up a newer car to swap with the older band style sensor. It won't work. The difference is that from the factory, the two styles use a different radio frequency to communicate with the car. There are companies and kits out there that offer the valve stem style in the correct frequency to work with older cars that have the band style sensor.
