Default 2007 Mustang GT, installing Edelbrock E Force

So I need help with the wiring. I bought the kit used and I believe the guy didn't give me everything. First question I have is why does this thing need a MAP sensor and a MAF sensor. I thought it was one or the other? My PN# is 1585. Going to post the instructions steps below this where I get confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm beating my head against the wall right now.

72. Install the TMAP wiring harness extension onto the MAF sensor connector on the driver side of the main engine wiring harness. Route the longer segment of the extension harness toward the back of the engine bay.

guessing that the sensor in the manifold is for intake air temperature. some folks
like to read that temp after the supercharger.
