Just got it! when should I seal and wax it?
My new 2006 Black Vert GT just arrived yesterday, and I've been smiling ever since. It was clean when I picked it up, but they didn't do the best wash job (can see that the water was probably a bit dirty). Anyway, i'm washing it myself tomorrow, and was curious, when shoudl I apply a sealant and wax? I've read some great posts on here about different products and tips, but am unsure if I should wait to do any of this, or is it best to do it immediatley? Please advise.
BTW, I'll post pics soon.

Use zaino and clay before you wax lots of contaminents in paint just from the trip from factory

Do it ASAP man, i have a black one and i had scratches before i knew it; and its not like i neglect my car in any way, i clean it at least twice a week and park at the very bottom of parking lots... so you HAVE to seal/wax it before you get more damage than you can fix: dont make the same mistake i did

Please tell me what you mean by seal/clay b4 waxing the car......
I just got my car and the dealer did a crapy job washing it so the very next day i washed it and b4 I knew it the car was almost dry..when I sprayed water on the car the water bubbled up and just ran off the side of the car..that is a good thing right? I thought all I needed to do was wax the car...

Buy car, drive car, wash car, clay car, polish car, seal car, wax car.
The whole point of claying a car when you buy it is to get rail dust, etc out of the clearcoat.
If you seal the car before doing this, you're just sealing a bunch of tiny metal fragments into your paint.

I am another Zaino fan as well and would NEVER use another product. However a HUGE recommendation I would make is do NOT wash it or polish it until you get a good wash mitt and “Microfiber” towels.
Zaino will tell you, as well as many other sites, to use a 100% made in America cotton towel. Made in America is important because many foreign made 100% cotton towels are NOT 100% cotton…
However, after using Microfiber towels for the past 3 – 4 years I wouldn’t even think about putting a rough micro-scratching towel like a 100% cotton towel on my paint. That’s how soft and well Microfiber towels work. DON’T buy the cheap ones at Auto Zone, shop around on line for a good name brand of Microfiber towel.
Black is the worst color at hiding micro scratches. I have a sonic blue Lightning so it’s just about as bad as black. It doesn’t take much to put nice little micro scratches in the paint so if you take all the precautions now you can insure your paint looks like it does now for many, many years. I have had my truck for about 2 ½ years and it looks like a showroom vehicle…
