Well, if it's anything like my 93 TBird, I had about 3 unused connections... Just options the car didn't have. Like a coolant level sensor, a brake fluid level sensor...stuff like that.

That will only connect to something within its range, but if you don't see anything it might be pre-wired for an option your car doesn't have...

Just my $0.02

Being as it's only one pin, it's for a sensor that grounds out when triggered/set.

This is usually an oil sending unit, that only triggers with low oil pressure to illuminate
the oil light. Can also be the same type sensor for an ECT. Once triggered a ground
is supplied, the MIL is set

Use a volt meter with the car running to see if there is any positive voltage there, if not, ground
that pin and see if anything lights up on the dashboard. IF not, then it's not used. If there is
positive voltage there, then it's not for a sensor.

Coolant and brake fluid LEVEL sensors have two wires.
Heated PCV has two wires.

Thanks for responding,

I check with car running, and show 13v then is not for ground I suppose.

I'll look at mine later and see if I can tell where it goes. One thing I can assure you is that your wiring has been screwed with. Those wires should all come neatly wrapped from the factory and not loose like yours.

Under the very front bolt of the valve cover should be a plug just at the front of the head. That's where mine is plugged into on my 2006 Mustang GT.

That is a two wire so I agree that's not likely the one, but there is this one wire depicted here. It come out of a block above the pulley and plugs into a female plug as shown in the first post here.

Most of those 1-wire, with no voltage on it, are noise suppression grounds. I have one of those
little black blocks like that where the coil pack grounds on the bracket.

His has +12 on it. Even the PCV w/heater has two wires, so it's not that either.

His, is for powering something with the motor on. An option he doesn't have, or someone
removed, and it has no effect on the car...

Me, I'd find an aftermarket use for it eventually...

Yes, I know, the old owner left the harness in disarray, but little by little I'm repairing it. I would appreciate an image of how the harness should be to putting right it, thank you
