06 gt with a roush m90 s/c I recently installed a vmp triple pass heat exchanger thinking it would remove heat soak but dont feel a difference i see circulation in the expansion tank but could I possibly need a new pump for the bigger heat exchanger?

I think you've answered your own question about needing a higher flowing intercooler water pump.

That was my situation... When I increased my boost I bought the big AFCO GT500 unit, but I didn’t see much improve with my older Ford Racing Bosch pump. So I installed the newer Ford Racing GT500 pump manufactured by Pierburg and temps are lower now. Next I’m looking at a larger coolant reservoir and running a much higher water/coolant ratio.
