I went to check out a 2014 Mustang before buying and no matter what color I selected under either "Gauge color" and "Halo color" the instrument cluster color did not change. Digits were white and halo was off even though it was set to "On" in the menu. Engine was running and I turned the headlights on (this was during daylight.). On the other hand the ambient light was working and properly changing colors.
Did I miss something or was doing something the wrong way?

 

They instruments only change if the car thinks it is dark out, light sensor is in the middle of the dash in the front and if you brought something to cover it up with it would have changed.
