I used to laugh...
at you guys that posted about "My wife had an accident with my Mustang..." Well last night I almost goofed up, I was tired and my son grabbed the steering wheel to prevent me from turning left and yelled at me NO NO NO.. I had almost turned left onto a exit ramp at a stop light thinking I was already across the bridge waiting to turn left onto the entry ramp to the freeway... talk about embarressed! I just TG my 20 year old son was paying attention when I turned on the turn signal to turn left onto that ramp. I told my hubby a little while ago and he said...thats it...you take the big azz truck from now on! I meekly said um yes dear...if you say so but that truck is a gas guzzler! I also said you know...if we were ever to divorce I know we would fight over "custody" of the Mustang more than anything else as we both like it so much!

RE: I used to laugh...
Funny thing is I've never done anything that stupid before and I've only been in one accident my 30 some years of driving and I can count on most of my fingers how many he's (hubby) been in but most of them were not his fault. My accident was caused by a guy in front of me swerving around a stopped car turning left that I didn't see until I was right on top of him and I rear ended him. If the guy had put on his turn signal or slowed down warning me that he was even gonna swerve around something I would have been alerted to something being in front of him that I couldn't see around his vehicle. Sad thing was the car I hit...he had just gotten it out of the shop repaired from another accident!

We've all made mistakes on the road. It happens. The important thing is that nothing bad happened and you and your son were ok. It really does show how being tired affects our observation and decision making skills.
