Default Coolant question

I have read about coolant on the web for hours. I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but...

So my nephew bought my 2008 V6 and wanted to do a coolant flush. He did right by running water and coolant flush through the system five times, nothing but clear water coming out. BUT he did a 60/40 mix with GREEN extended life coolant. So, my question is since the system was cleared of the gold coolant is the green going to be okay? It has 118k miles on it and has always run well.

Flush again and use gold? I just am not real knowledgeable about these "newer" cars.

As long as the coolant is compatible with aluminum (the V6 engine is cast iron but the radiator is aluminum) it'll be fine.
