I have a 2006 V6 Mustang, it has over 100k miles and my alternator needs to be changed. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good brand to get? I know it's best, to stay away from Autozone due to the negative reviews and issues. Also, I have after market lights with ballasts. Should I get a higher-output alternator?

I purchased a remanufactured in Mexico Duralast from AutoZone in December 2012.
Still works fine. Knock on wood. 65k on car.
Electrical mods- sequentials, shaker 500 kill switch.

 

Hopefully, you have already purchased it. When I replaced my 2007 V6 alternator, I used Amazon.com. Reasonable price and easy return if there is a problem. If you have Prime, they will deliver free and pick it up at your door for free if there is a problem. Read the reviews before purchasing.
