Talking S197 Hood Cowl Bracket (Interior Flood Problem)

'Sup, I made some brackets for that annoying hood cowl clip bracket that has a seal around it and causes leaking inside.
-> Hood Cowl Bracket

Mine were rotten, and my hood cowl had a bit damaged. I put some black high temp gasket maker around the brackets- didn't matter if it was pretty.
The file is free, you can use any filament- I used PLA.

Also I'm working on a printable widebody kit. If you want to be part of the project, please contact me through here.

I'm certain the community appreciates your efforts on the providing a solution to a problem. My only questions is why did you use PLA resin? It's a biodegradable resin. Why not ABS or even Polypropylene (PP)? I worked with plastics for almost 20 years.

yeah- it makes perfect sense. and you SHOULD print it in ABS. However, PLA is the most accessible for me so I ran with it.
Also I don't have a sealed 3D printer and have no way of exposing it to fresh air in order to not get poisoned.

Got it! I don't know anything about 3-D printing regarding safety precautions and such. So it didn't cross my mind about toxicity during the printing process. I only know about the plastics. Maybe you could print in the garage with the door open or on a patio or something and use ABS if/when you are so inclined to try it.
