2014 Mustang air vents stuck on defrost and floor
I started driving my Dad's Mustang because he has gotten a bit older and is not confident enough. I found his air vents didn't change when I tried pressing the vent choices on the dash. I read about the door actuators in another forum so I went looking for them.
Once I dropped the glove box, I would feel a good amount of cold air coming down. I had my wife press the buttons on the dash and what we really have is air coming out the defrost and floor all the time and then a lot of air out the defrost vents when I specifically press the defrost button. I never get floor only or defrost vents only when in AC mode and we never get middle vents at all.
Does this indicate a different problem than a stuck acuator?
I thought there were only two actuators on the right side. It looks like three. One on the fan, and two to the left of the fan, one in front of the other. I can post a picture I took, if that helps.
