Default GT or GT500

I'm looking to buy a mustang between the 2005-2014 range. Putting money to the side for a minute, which would you buy?

I'm looking for a car that I will drive occasionally. I'm not worried about comfort, such as suspension.

I want a car I can take to car shows. Not really to compete, but to socialize.

What factors should I consider when sorting between the two?

What would be the pros and cons to each?

I'm just starting my search.

Update:

I found a car I completely fell in love with, and I bought it. When it came down to it, the 2013-2014 GTs were better looking to me, and I went for it. I now own a 2013 GT Premium California Special. I'm in LOVE.

Here she is! I'm a little thankful I didn't get the GT500, because I just learned how to drive manual on this car, and I think I would have struggled with the clutch in the GT500. I'm a little woman. The clutch in this car is wearing me out, haha. Oh well. I'm building muscle, haha.

There's the album. I'm a little thankful I didn't buy a GT500. I just learned to drive manual with this car. And I think I would have struggled with a racing clutch. I am a small woman. lol. But anyway, I'm VERY happy with my new car. I love it so much. And yes, the calipers may be being painted pink...... haha

I posted the link to the album. Once again, it's being approved.
