Name is Chad i'm 23. Thought i would say hello. This forum helped me decide to trade off my truck and make the jump to a mustang.

Tonight after work i'm going down to the dealer to put the needed money down to get my order placed for a new mustang.

Going to order a 2006 Black GT red interrior package in a manual i am very excited. I almost went with the V6 but at the last minute i deicded i would have more fun in the V8.

They said it will get here mid to late Feb. Which is fine. I live in MN where it snows half the year so i couldn't drive it anyways.

I was hoping to see my new ride when the frost starts to lift.

im just saying alot of people on here would tell u that when they ordered they were waiting for ever, i ordered then i cancelled the order and finally found what i wanted 150 miles away, u might get lucky, im just saying dont be surprised if its late.

For what it's worth, my dealership told me 4-6 month wait. It was actually 4 month wait, almost to the very day!

They told me 8 weeks is the lead time right now which is 2 months.
Ether my dealer is really special or they are way off. i could wait 4 months though that would make it March.
Roads will be drying up.

Very excited. But it looks like i've got lots of wait time.

Just think, the longer you wait the more mods you can buy and have waiting for when she arrives. Good luck on the wait, it is going to be a painfull one, I know, I went through it and congrats.

My Dealer was telling me tonight all 06 GT's have a 4-8 month back log. They said Mustang sales are better than they have ever been with more people whom have never bought a Mustang now buying one.

When i bought mine there was one Black GT Conv on the showroom floor with a ram air kit and shaker hood. Outside were 10 V6 about 5 were conv.

As of today they had 4 Conv and 0 Hardtop V6's left. (he told me they sold the remaining Hardtops on Sunday, our dealers can be open on Sunday) I bought mine Saturday, and some guy and his wife bought the Tungsten grey I turned down that night. Sunday they sold the Maroon, Lt. Blue, and both Mineral Grey V6's Hardtops.

He was telling me they have 4 yellows coming this week and they were all pre-sell 2005's, that the factory put on hold til 2006.

Welcome to the forum..And for what its worth, I waited about 5 months for mine ..Ordered the first of January and received it in May...Seems like it took forever!!!
