Fremont Ford, Fremont, CA (duh)

At the dealer getting some stuff done and I had a chance to check out the (FIVE) CE's they have.

All are 2006 Mustang V6 Pony Editions
Three black, two grey (I guess Tungsten?)
One grey had black leather, the rest had black "mustang" worded cloth
All were automatic
Alot of other similar features (shaker500, 17" bullitts, IUP, etc.)

California Edition "specialty" stuff includes
White racing stripes ($695)
Chrome exhaust tip ($50)
CE special gas cap ($forgot)
CE special "XXX of 500" plate on dash ($forgot) they had numbers in the 160-170 range

They looked real nice, except I absolutely must have leather seating.

In the 15 minutes I was there, no less than FOUR sales guys tried to show them to me, despite me telling them I already had a 2005 Mustang. Two of them seriously tried to get me to trade my car in (it's three months old!). If I didn't have the new car already, and I still had my old car, I *may* have been interested in the grey with leather. Racing stripes really aren't my thing though.

Lucky for whoever buys one, the crazy markups seem to be fading, these were "only" marked up $995, making them about $24-$26K. The only things you can't do on your own are the gas cap and the little plate inside, otherwise they are just pre-modded Mustangs. I'm sure anyone here with the ability to do racing stripes can get them done for less than $695.
