New to computer tuning
Hey guys...
I'm new to this forum and would really appreciate your help. Long story short...
I bought my '05 GT back on new year's day 2005. Had racing stripes painted and a set of aftermarket wheels done. Ordered my Predator and while waiting for it to come in had the Pypes offroad x-pipe and mufflers put on. I liked the sound ok but thought it might be a little too obnoxious for a daily driver. Anyway, the day after the exhaust install, this 85 year old woman decides she wants my parking place at Sam's Club and plows into my car and totals it out after pushing it into 3 other cars.
Insurance finally pays it off and I go get me another mustang. However, I paid a little extra and had a body kit and wheels installed before I took delivery of the car. Gotta say... I am absolutely LOVING my new car... even more than my first. Took the car a couple of days ago and had the cats cut from the exhaust and left the stock mufflers. So far... I am diggin' the note. Just loud enough to let folks know you're coming!!! Best thing is... it only cost me $30!!!
Now, to my question(s). I installed the 87 octane tune from my Predator and noticed a very nice difference in throttle response. I am new to this computer tuning and was told that I could turn off my rear 02 sensors to keep the check engine light from coming on. However, I can't seem to find where to do this when I go to my Predator's "Modify Tune" options. I talked to another guy and he said that the "turn off o2 sensors" function is built into the tune already. Does anyone know if this is true? It would make sense because (knock on wood) my check engine light has not come on.
Also, does anyone know what else this particular tune adjusts?
Sorry for the long post and I appreciate all help in advance.

RE: New to computer tuning
I can't believe it's been almost 24 hours since I posted this and not one response. I know some of you experts out there have to know something about my situation. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: New to computer tuning
My advice would be this:
Do not tell anybody else you have removed the catalytic converters. Next, do not tell anybody WHO removed them for you.
My guess that nobody has responded yet is that the car is no longer street legal. You might want to start getting information from a site that is more "Racing" minded instead of "Street" minded.
And finally, I'll bet my response will get some responses for your posting.
