Default gas tank

Ok...I never had a problem with my gas tank with my V6..but the other day when I filled my GT up for the 1st time I set the nozzle to cut off on its own and when it stopped I did not try to put more in but started to release the nozzle out and gas poured all over my car..What is up with that?? Has this happened to anyone else?

TSB = Tech Service Bulletin - They use them instead of a recall on minor problems just like this that doesn't affect a vast amount of cars. Put the nozzel in all the way, pull the handle half way so the gas doesn't into your car as fast.

BTW - I think your caps lock was on and you didn't notice it.

Thanks so much 05BlueGT...I will try that next time...Luckily when it happened i was going home for lunch so i washed the gasoline off of the car...

Ok now I know what TSB means..are they going to recall these back or do nothing about it?

I was under the impression that this was a problem with the 05's that had been resolved with the 06's, that being said I have had a problem filling tank twice, both at the same station same pump, other pumps at the same station are fine. I think it has to do with how fast the pump fills the tank, normally I only fill at half speed because of the problems I have read about, but that one particular pump I have to hold he handle and have to fill extremely slow and still get the overflow. When I bring it to the dealer for the rattle in the dash I am going to have them look at the tank as well.

The original problem with the 05's was it took forever to get gas in the tank. This is a new problem that came up.
