Default Service Manual

Does anyone know where to get some Ford service manuals for the 2006 Mustang GT ? I have a set of factory manuals for the 1969 Mustang / Cougar. It is a 6 or 5 book set that has anything you would ever need to work on the car. Torque specs, body panel gaps, steering geometry, etc.

Do they even give out that info anymore? I have never owned anything younger than a 1974 car (I'm 42 yrs old) and would like some service books,,, I see there is no distributer but instead a coil on each plug,,, What will they think of next??

Manuals are available from Helm Inc. I don't think the '06 manual is available yet. The '05, in paper form, I believe is $145. The disc version is much more expensive.

Go to www.motorcraftservice.com and for a small fee, you can view and print anything in the manual, I paid $16 for 30 days of access and it was worth it. I was able to find all my answers. Even a years subscription is less than a paper
manual or CD. http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...p?menuIndex1=7 let me know if you try this.

Another good place is Ebay. look for "2005 mustang repair manual" they're about $25.00. Ford sends new dvd's to dealers every 2-3 months so some enterprising employees sell them on ebay. They have an expiration date on them and after that date they're not supposed to work. All you need to do is revise the date on your computer and back it up a year and they work. Look for more recent date codes just to be sure any possible errors were corrected.

Heln Inc. (www.helminc.com) now has the 06 service manual, print only. It's $150. I've ordered one. I can give feedback on it if you want after I receive.
