I recently put some 10" stripes on my stang. But now im not too sure about the size anymore, I think they look a little too skinny. What do you guys think?
I'm thinking about going with 15"'s and an inch or two apart.

I am putting 9 1/4" wide stripes on mine. But mine car is yellow w black stripes. The thinner stripes look better on the yellow than wider ones, IMO.

I think the 10" look good on most other colors, 12" being max. If you go too wide the stripes take up most of the hood.

 

tangtang, let me know if you find someone that makes a 15" kit. The widest equal width, dual stripe kit I've been able to find is 12" through www.2005-mustang.com.

I just get em off ebay. do a search on 15" vinyl. They have pretty much every color availlable. I bought mine for 50cents a foot.
Just make sure when you get them off ebay that they are UNPUNCHED, because some 15" vinyl will have little holes on each side. Also they don't come in a precut kit or anything like that.

 

i think it looks good, but i would bring down the vinyl on your bumper to complete the look,[:@]

 

I'm getting my stripes painted on TODAY! My baby is in the shop!!! I'M SCARED to death right now.

Seriously tho, I am also adding a GTR Hood and that lends itself to 11" x 2" x 11" stripes the best. Stripes go right through the scoops!

awww man......i want to get mine painted on eventually, but it's gotta wait for a lil. I got an estimate for $1500 in 15", but that is with clearcoat taken of and put back on so there are no edges. Other shops would do it for like $300, but ill have an edge?
How much will your paintjob be?

 

Gloves, what did they quote you for the stripes & did you have any special spec?

I am waiting on shop time to get my '06 GT Convertible stiped, quoted $1,000 even from front valance to rear bumper with clear-coat just on stripes - not whole panel - so you will still feel them, blue on White.

i'd say stick with the 10"spaced at 2" unless you want to be different, it looks good

 

$1,800 Includes:

- Painting & intalling the Hood
- Painting & intalling the window scoops
- Painting & installing the new ducktail
- - (Removing the wing, filling in the holes.)
- Painting 11 x 2 x 11 Stripes (bumper, hood, roof, trunk, ducktail & back bumper)

I can't go bigger stripes becaue of the size of the scoop. I kinda
wanted 12" stripes because the '05 is a beefier car than the '67
with 10" stripes. My theory is Larger car = larger stripes. Scale it. =)
