Hey,

I'm a Chicagoan too. With the 6-8 inches we got, she handled surprisingly well, I got stuck on the Eisenhower on the way hom from school, (Fenwick in Oak Park) however it wasnt bad at all. It was especially awsome when I got on 83 and at the top of 83 the little incline before bell road, 4 BMWs, all spun out, a brand new 5 series completly facing oposite way of traffic, a brand new 6 series spinning its tires, and an older 3 series spinning its tires. Then going down bell I passed a M3 in a ditch. My trac control really helps.

No no sand storms at all.... it's really rare we had last sand storm 2 years ago and the one before it was when i was a kid... so its really rare but from 2 years weve been having a 1 day rain storm in the winter which causes shop signs to break and fly to cars and streets or construction woods fly onto streets and cars or like tree's fall down but only happens one day without any harm to people just cars i just hope nothing happens to my mustang...

Lotsa Chicago guys in here! Make sure you make it to one of our get togethers in the spring.
I do have snow tires on all 4 corners, and was very happy with the performace/handling. Just was out tonight and decided to leave traction control on and see how fast I could accel on a snowy road with the gas a constant 50%. Pulled straight and pretty quick I might add.
And does some killer donuts, had to stop before I got too dizzy!

What a difference a month can make

Stoenr, I see you have Goodyear winter tires. Which ones did you get and are they the stock GT size or a little narrower? I looked at the Goodyear website and they said there were no winter tires available in the '06 GT size.

sam_abuelsamid,

What is the difference between Traction Control on the Mustang and Ford's stability control system called Advance Trac that they put on their minivans?

Is there any way to upgrade a Mustang?

I got my GT with the 18" fanblades. and got a set of 17" take offs from ebay. Stayed with normal 17" size 235/55/17 for the snows.

Dear Stoenr,

Mine is in the garage for the winter because I have a Grand Cherokee 4X4 that goes all winter...

Don't forget to add me to the "Spring Fling" list...

I'm up on the northside of the city near Wrigley but can drive down your way to meet...

Have a Happy Xmas and New Year too...

Dave
