Default Dim Headlights

I bought an 06 GT fastback about three weeks ago. The headlights seem either very dim or aimed improperly. I live out in the country, and need good headlights. Are the factory headlights inadaquate? or should I have the dealer re-aim them? Anyone else have a similar issue with their car?

I have had no issues with my headlights. I find them to more than bright enough. You might want to see if they are aimed wrong.

I have a silly question, you aren't mistaking the Fog lights for the headlights are you? I'm sure you're not, but figured why not ask.

if you get them checked out by the dealer, and they still arent up to your standard, you can get the Saleen HID light kit, its a white light that spreads farther and wider than the stock lights

I did that a couple of times in my GT. I only noticed it when I went to turn on the high beams and they wouldn't come on. I thought I had to take the car back to the dealer to find out why my high beams wouldn't stay on until I checked the switch. That was a duh on my part. I am sure some of you here have done that at least once. I have 3 times so far.

I readjusted the aim on my headlights so the low beams are higher and more "forward"... the factory setting put them too low, and they point off to the right.

High Beams... did you know... if you click to High Beam.. the Low Beams and fogs cut off... but.. if you just pull on the headlight flashers the High Beams come and AND your lowbeams... GREAT for those tight dark country roads at night... takes a little tactal skill to stear and hold the stick.. but you get pretty good at it with practice!
