Does anyone have a 2006 US brochure? Does it have the same "wheels" page as I posted for the Canadian one?
I'm real curious now.
I'm real curious now.
Teh exact words are "17" Bright Machined-Aluminum Wheel with Tri-Bar Pony Center Cap Available on GT"
It's the only wheel of that type shown. At fordvehicles.com it says basically the same thing and I printed that web page out also and took to the dealer.
I do notice now in tiny print at the very very bottom of the wheel and package page in my brochure it says:
Following publication of this catalog, certain changes in standard equipment, option and the like, or product delays may have occurred which would not be included in these pages. Ford Division reserves the right to change product specification at any time w/o incurring obligations.
So ya think they covered their asses right there? I am SO PISSED at myself for not noticing this when they asked me to look over the damn car before driving it off the lot.

I think you got some leftover '05 wheels. Make a stink to the salesman, not the parts guy. Start crying in the dealer showroom if you have to. I don't blame you for not noticing at the dealership. We were all so excited to just get in & drive away!!!! I don't think it would have made much of a difference even if you had said something anyway.

Just get these for $17.95. It's not worth going to the dealer and getting mad. They know not of what they speak anyway. http://www.mustangtuning.com/bucecap.html

$100 for a set of tri-bar pony caps is too much. My local Ford dealer charged me $78.20. Better yet, call Kevin our forum parts guy and see what price he can do. He's awesome, I just got a rear sway bar(and all the necessary hardware) for my vert for $225 delivered. My Ford dealer wanted $300 plus.

yeah, that would have been useful Since these only cost me ~$15 though, I didn't mind. I did notice that they suspiciously went up in price at Xmas time...
Still... if you're gonna keep your BMA wheels for a while, I'd suggest these. they look so much better than the junky Ford logo centers...
