Default Ford Dealers DUH!!!

So I get A coupon in the mail from the dealer that I bought my 06 from and it is telling me that is time for my 3000 mile oil change? Um don't they read the manual 5000 Miles for the first oil change? Actually had the oil changed when I got back from picking up the car 900 miles away. And then on the coupon, it says 24.95 for oil change and filer for up to 5 quarts of oil, so do they charge extra for the 6th quart?

there was another thread on first oil change etc. here is the link may help to read through it. https://mustangforums.com/m_847042/tm.htm

I guess it is recommend to change oil every 3000 miles under stop and go conditions i.e. city. I think if you drive a lot of miles it should be fine changing it every 5000 miles i.e. highway driving.

I had mine changed at 5,000 miles...they asked if I wanted the tires rotated but didn't have that done at that time as it was an extra $20. I got lucky and had cut out a coupon in the newspaper for my dealership a few weeks earlier as it gave an oil change for $9.95. I saw it normally costs about $27.00 for the oil change according to their list on the wall. Talk about a great deal for a first oil change! The oil changes are required every 5,000 miles as they used synthetic at the factory and use it at the dealership's oil change on the 05 Mustangs.

did they put in full synthetic engine oil in these cars from the factory? I know for the 99-04, they used a synthetic blend.

I am sking you guys about this but because it seems that the people at Ford dealerships don't seem to know **** about Ford cars. None of them knew LOL
