Default Question on Tires

Hello all, I am new here and love the site. I have had my 2005 Torch red with red Leather interior Mustang for about one year now. I wanted to change the tires and rims but hopefully can get some good feedback here... I would like to go with the widest back tire I can without going outside of the wheelwell can anyone tell me if they have seen or have a car with this look, and if possible what size of tire I would need. Thankyou for taking the time for reading my question.

Default RE: Question on Tires

thats an impossible question to answer, because every rim has a different offset, a different backspacing, and different width. You will have to be a little more specific on which rims you are looking to buy. Just an example, i have 18x9 bullitts with an offset of 38mm and a backspacing of 6.55", and I run 255/45 all the way around. I have about maybe half an inch to being excatly even with the wheelwell in the back. in the front maybe 1/4 inch or so. But unless you know the diameter and width of the rim I don't think anyone will be able to answer that for ya.......Also once you know there are some great tools online i.e. wheel offset calculator, which will tell you excatly how much more your tire is going to stick out compared to your stock. etc.
