When I first bought the car you could read the song/radio station on the digital readout. It does not do it now. The manuel says if you go into menu you should hit a RDS and then turn the RDS on///but this only applies to the Shaker 1000. Can anyone tell me how to set the Shaker 500 THXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Does the Shaker 500 come with the GT Deluxe or only the Premium.

its standard option on the premium and and upgrade on the deluxe.

Hold down the menu button for couple of seconds, then it should show RDS on/off.

I have the Shaker 500 in my 2005 Mustang Premium V6.

I am glad I read this post. I never knew about this feature. Just went outside and tried it and I turned it on. That's cool. I heard of other new cars having this but I never knew it.
I bought my Stang back in June.

I always played my MP3 songs and I added the name and song to the files. So went it plays it shows the info. Some will have it when you download it but I like to go thru them and edit the info.

Yes, it shows the radio station name, then the band and song name as long as the radio station has it enabled. Otherwise it will simply say the station name.

Keep in mind that this information is included in the broadcast signal and not all stations offer this feature.

I just had my 500 system replaced since it was skipping, etc. The new unit seems to have better sound quality. Anybody else experience this?
