Default How to remove headrests?

Has anyone done this? For some reason mine to not want to come up out of the seat...almost like its caught on something after the normal adjustments.

Thats probly me. I just got them embroidered. The whole headrest doesn't come off, but the covers do. On the bottom there is a seam and you just have to get it separated. Raise the headrest up as far as it will go. There is a plastic clip that like interlocks. Once that is separated just pull em off. Just work them back and forth to get them off. I hope thats what you wanted to know.

Yeah i know for a fact that they don't come off. When i bought mine i asked the saleperson if they come out and he said they do. I tried again and told him i couldn't get them out. So he gave it a try and never got it out but managed to break in the process. It's okay though, I'll let Ford buy me parts all day long.

Yeah red leather. I thought it was easier to put them back on than to take them off.

Yeah, they do come out!

LOOK at where the headrest joins to the seat, there's a rectangular piece of plastic... on e side of it has a "button" that you press in to adjust height

OK, now looking at the opposite side of the same piece of plastic, there's a hole... PUSH A PEN INTO THE HOLE, push the button on the other side and pull headrest out

no brainer

yup...little button on the plastic thing that your finger is too large to push. I thought I would never get those headrests off to get my seat covers on. I used a small allen wrench.
