dyno results from today
just picked mine up tonight from getting dyno'd(was done on a mustang dyno so i was told to add 15-20% to equal dynojet #'s). here's the numbers: peak hp=281.8 tq=322.5
baseline before changes today peak 267hp 273 tq. as you can see he didn't pick up a ton of peak hp only 14 (due to the higher stall converter) but it was 14+ all across the rpm range. where the real difference is applying torque through tuning the converter. he picked up 49 ft. lbs. of torque and thats pretty much all across the board also. my peak torque was also lower from 4550 rpm to 3300rpm. at 3300 rpm he was able to pick up 43hp and 74 ft. lbs. at 3300rpm!!! man what a difference!!!! it feels great. i need a track to open soon. definitely should run 12's on stock rubber now.[8D]

RE: dyno results from today
Good gains. My local shop has a Dynojet that my buddies 03 Cobra peaked at 505 hp and 517 tq. I know with those gains your car pulls strong in second gear. I haven't come around on spending the money to get my baseline yet, thats an extra 65 bucks to spend on mods. But I hope to be putting down 275 or so after my CAI, tuner, and pulley. I may need the H-pipe to get to 275, but that installation will be a lot of work, so thats last.

slak is yours an auto?
the h-pipe is actually not hard to install. ford did a great job making the exhaust easy to work on. guess they knew it would hit the trash on most GT's. if you are using the dynojet you will get your 275hp with your mods now i bet. i don't know all the technical jumbo on dyno's but i was told to expect much lower #'s from the mustang dyno but they would be more accurate since it induces a load instead of inertia like a dynojet. 20% seems like a lot doesn't it? have any of you tested this theory? that would mean my peak #'s are 337hp and 386 tq. on a dynojet.

I am not ******* you, your car, your mods, or anything else. But I think your formula is a bit skewed somewhere. Hard to believe you are getting procharger torque out of a NA car with no headwork or bottom end work.

yeah i know. 322peak torque at 3300rpm and it stayed over 300 until almost 5000rpm and never went below 275 to 5800rpm. a lot of that has to do with the TCI converter. since the aftermarket converter does a better job of torque multiplication. it can actually give you more rear wheel torque than flywheel torque. i think that may be what's going on. you're right i haven't touched the motor. all the mods i have are listed. i guess the real test will come when i can make some runs. most of the large gains he produced were done through the converter lockup functions. there's not much to adjust engine wise, timing&fuel thats all. does anybody know what the conversion is when switching from dynojet to mustang dyno or vise versa. like i said i was told m/dyno's are 20% lower. seems like a lot to me.

i'll be down in march for NMRA at bradenton. wish winter didn't suck so much here. it's actually been really nice the last few days. a track could run when it's 45-50 degrees no problem. it just needs to stop raining. anyway ours won't open until april most likely. guess i'll test when i get down there...hope everything is okay that's a long drive. if it's not the ride home will be even longer. worse yet if it doesn't run good they may take a pic and say" had bugs to work out or something". seen that a few times in MM&FF. how embarrassingg.

if thats what the conversion works out to, wow. those are some good numbers. what about the gears? do they make the dyno read lower? anyhow, good job. got any vids of the dyno time? i cant wait to see what the longtubes and exhaust does for my car.
