Optional 18" Wheels - Preference?

RE: Optional 18" Wheels - Preference?
I have a 2006 redfire metallic GT and, although they were not available at the time I purchased (about 3 months ago), high polished alluminum 18" bullits are now available. Check the Ford website for more info. Without engaging in what might be a religious debate over preference, after driving both the 17s and 18s, the 18s and associated handling package hugs the road and provides a level of control unlike any Mustang I have driven or owned. For the $900, in my humble opinion, go for it! Either way (bullits or fans), you can't go wrong with the 18s. I like both and have no reservations about my fans.

go to
http://www.ponybuilder.com/home.html
or Tirerack.com and see what you like and what prices are like.
If you want to keep your Mustang as a daily driver and hold it for a long time you may want to consider going with the factory 18" Bullits. I think they are polished or chrome.
I'm waiting for my tires to wear out so I can reshod my GT with 18" black spoke bullits with Pony spinners or maybe a 5 spoke aftermarket like that new Ford '06 rim.
Checking Tirerack they show that new optional 5 spoke rim SVT 2006 and it comes in polished w/ clearcoat or painted silver and are 18x8 1/12" They recommend 255/45-18 in front and 285/40-18 in rear or 255's on a 4.
