New member here...former owner of 79 Turbo, 85 GT, and 95 GT Convertible.

Going to order an 06 Screaming Yellow GT convertible. Can't make up mind on whether or not to go with the optional 18" bullit or 18" fan blade wheels. Which style do members prefer?

 

Hey man, new guy here too. I've got the 05 with the 17" bullits. I personally like the bullits on my car since they're almost the same color as the car...mineral gray, but on the yellow, I think those fan blades would look sweet. Either one will look good though. my .02

I would go with neither.. there will be tons of cars with the same rims. I just stuck with the stock ones and will get something a little different.. also another reason is that that 18x8.5 will have a litmit on what size rubber you can throw on. you MIGHT get away with a 275MAX. if you plan on an SC you might want a wider rim

 

agree with lostsoul...stay stock and get aftermarket...that will give you endless possibilities and you'll look different, actually your car will look different

If that's not an option, I'd definitely go with the fan blades

 

i stay with them, get the cheapest ones and go with some nice aftermarket ones

if you really want to just stay with ford stuff, i say go with the 18in black bullits

 

One main reason I got the optional 18" wheels is good tires> BFG KDWS...I ran these on my WRX and they work great in the rain.... it was worth it to me....

You can put 275s on a 8 inch wide rim. You can go a little bigger on the 18x8.5. Anyways on topic you should get the chrome bullitts.

 

I wouldnt recommend it. And most tire shops wont either.

I was 50/50 on the choice. I went with the fanblades because bullits are just everywhere! But I love em.
You cant go wrong, both will look awesome on your car. You cant make a wrong decision.

I have 17" bullits for the winter, so I get my fix.
