Default Exhaust & Stripes question

Hey all!

Two things I MUST do when I get my car (its on order, coming around March). I need to get an exhaust for my car and put on white stripes to my Torch Red color.

1. I want "the best" exhaust. Meaning, I want the best throaty sound. I care about price as well and don't want it costing 1500 either! Maybe you guys can make some suggestions.

2. I want to get stripes. Are they usually painted on or are they decal. If they are painted on, what are the costs involved in doing this? Is one better then the other?

Thanks in advance!

I have Flowmaster axleback and love them but I didn't want anything that would bug me on the highway either.

You can get decal stripes which will be cheaper but rocks and bugs will hurt them.

I had a qoute donte for 2 ten inch stripes for about 600. all up to you.

sorry if not very helpful

For stripes Paint is the best but can cost well over $1000
Try http://www.2005-mustang.com/
They have a full dual stripe kit for $189 in white. Get 2 kits, learn how to install it then install the second kit on the first person who asks you "Where'd ya get those stripes?"

lots of people are going to tell you SLP loudmouths, but i rather enjoy my magnaflo magnapack's

look here there is a video compairing the two sounds, people say its bias but ignore the WOT part of the packs for a unbias sound.

however if you wait a little longer you will be able to get 3" pipes, they're starting to produce them. look here and scroll down to the new mustang parts, you can see they list 3". maybe a websearch will revial other companies with it already out.

the highest gain in HP for a cat-back system was like 4hp, so they are pretty even there on brands, its mostly a sound you might be looking for. i know nothing preformance wise about 3" systems.

Thanks guys for responidng!

Orion_240: $189 is not a bad deal for stripes. I can even do them myself. However, I don't want that "cheap I did it myself" look. Do you think it will have that look? I don't mind paying the money for the real deal but if the decals will add a cheap look to it, then I don't want that. Let me know.

Corpo: I took a look at the SLP Loudmouths from the sites and posts you sent me - people are pretty impressed with it and so am I. I was actually looking at the Borla Stainless Steel Cat-Backâ„¢ System as well (model #140135) and I wanted to get that when I get my car so now I'm seriously confused. haha...

Yep, watched the video. I do have to say I was impressed with the SLP's. What model and how much are they, the one everyone owns?

Here is the site for the borlas... they are a bit pricey....http://www.borla.com/applications/lo...System/140135/
