Default Which parts have fallen off your car?

I'm just curious what items everyone has found wrong with their cars? I have had mine for about 8 months and I love it, but wouldn't mind dropping by the assembly plant and smacking a couple people upside the head just on principle.

My 3 things so far are:
Trunk carpet wasn't fitted right on the right side.
Passenger A-pillar molding fell down because it wasn't clipped in.
Found one of the trunk molding fasteners rolling around on the trunk floor. It holds in the molding that covers the right tail light.

I see a theme here.

So I am curious what everyone else has found.

same for me, all except the a-pillar cover. The trunk carpet is funky, good thing no one rides back there.

Haven't lost any pieces yet... just rolled over 10,000 miles 10 days shy of driving it off the lot.

I had to have the trim piece around the drivers side read window and convetible top replaced for a VERY bad fitting one.

They replaced the passenger side door sill trim because the factory dented it.

Trun mat is a bad fit.

Everything else on my car is TIGHT.

Well - - except for the Fog Light Reflectors being "Fog Coated" which I am fighting Ford over.

Trunk mat and the leather seems to wear quickly, other than that nothing really bad.

Love your Casinos. Check mine out... Black Rhino Burst. I refer to them as split rim Bullits lol. I get a lot of compliments on them and say they look cool with the deep dish look.

Got mine in April, hitting 15,000 miles in a week or so. Yes trunk carpet is weak. Had the same right tailight cover clip issue (hmmmm) had to do the "front clicking noise" TSB, had a right rear shock spring a leak, my rear window defogger worked when it felt like it (another TSB), and today noticed that my passenger window does that cool little "drop down" like a second after you try to open the door so it grabs the weather seal (of course the wife NEVER noticed the door hung for a second when she tried to open it). But...runs like Hell, and drives like a slot car.

I don't know if it helps, but many times if a rear fascia gets scratched and is slated for replacement prior to shipping they have a process for people in that unit to do the replacement on the weekends. If yours needed something like that in the trunk area where the carpet and inner trunk panel needed removed then those folks may have been the culprit. It still should have been caught when audited prior to shipping but probably means that something was replaced back there and wasn't the result of normal operator on the line being the last one to install it.......
Regarding a-pillar loose, not engaged. I hope it didn't fall all the way out. Those are a pain in the butt to install sometimes as you have to find the proper angle down low to get it to line up at the top. However, if it wasn't engaged originally then it shouldn't be as bad. The worst part is if you have to remove it after a good install as the top clip tends to come apart when forced when actually once the pillar is removed you must twist and pull the clip simultaneously to remove it without damage.
Believe me, some of the people at our plant need "slapped upside the head" but all in all there is a big sense of pride in building the mustang and most pay particular attention to quality and ford has given us everything in regards to "whatever it takes......do it right"....... glad you like your car....... Actually, I understand how this stuff happens. I work where they build the Dodge minivans & RAM trucks and used to be a repair supervisor. And there have always been a few operators that cause problems. I believe that 99 people out of 100 want to do a good job and that one person usually doesn't care. For example, on the RAM truck we always had problems with passenger side windows coming loose and a certain brake line hose getting stripped. One was because the guy would miss jobs and not bolt the windows to the regulators the other was because the part install was somewhat difficult to do in the time he had to do it. So you have one guy that just doesn't care, and one that was trying to do his best under the circumstances. I figuire the stuff I have found is the same way.

The A-pillar was never clipped, but it looked like it was for a couple days. That tells me someone tried to install it and the clip just didn't catch, and I tell you what it wasn't all that easy to clip in securely. And I wasn't trying to do it on a moving assy line, so I would give that operator a pass.

So in short, I give props to all the people there that put my car together. But I still think that at least one of them could use a good bitch slap. 9200 miles since last June and I still can't wait to get in it in the morning to go to work. =)
