I just ordered my GT the other day and the dealer said it could be between 5 and 8 months to get mine in because the manual transmissions have been becomimg harder to come by. hopefully i have it by April though.

We have GTs',V-6s', and Roushs' big time in Charleston, South Carolina. When mine was bought in November 2004 it was very rare.

This is my first post here

I ordered my wife a GT convertible January 14th and we have received a build date of February 13th. Should be here right on time for her birthday the first week of March. Around here there were absolutely no convertibles with manual transmissions at all.

Just picked up my GT on Saturday, had to go to South Dakota of all places to find a Black with red interior and manual transmission and I live in Phoenix! Oh well! Well worth it. The dealer told me that he had 2 GT's on order, 1 ordered in Oct, 1 in Dec, and they would both be there in March. So waits seem to be getting shorter.

I guess that I just got lucky. The local dealer in Pensacola had just taken delivery of an entire truck load (mixed) and they had 2 identical black GTs (manuel of course). They even cut $125 off the sticker price for me They also gave me $1800 more for my trade than edmunds said it was worth, so I guess that I got a pretty good deal.

I put my order in for an '06 Sept. 29, 2005.

The GT (manual) is scheduled to arrive at the dealer February 23, 2006.

Needless to say I am counting the days down...

location seems to be the key factor (i'm in the Los Angeles area). i went to several dealerships before getting my 06GT, but all had autos and manuals in pretty much any color. the dealership i ended up buying my GT from had at least 20 GTs and who knows how many V6s. they also had at least 4 Roush GTs in the showroom, and maybe 10 Saleens outside. This place even had a Ford GT in their showroom. and when i went back not even 2 weeks later, they had yet another (different color) GT in the show room. this place is really nuts - although they do claim to sell the most fords in America, so i'm not surprised at the selection they had.
