It doesn't have the slam you back in the seat push your eyballs out of their sockets feel that my 460" BB Chevy did but the numbers say it's faster. This little 281 needs about 4000 rpm before it really starts to work but then it really works. Yup, I feel it alright.

I concour with everyone's theory of speed addiction for this one. But for the uneducated.....make sure traction control is turned off or you could suffer power bleed in third and sometimes even fourth gear. Then just hold on and punch it..............YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!![8D]

there's something about these cars that just doesn't make it feel as fast as it is...

my buddy's 03 Mustang GT with exhaust and a couple of bolt ons feels faster when oyu're in it.. so we raced from a stop up to 60mph, and I beat him by about 4 car lengths...

yeah, probably because the 03 is so much smaller than the 05/6

I agree.......the 05/06 mustangs' bigger size definitely has something to do with it. I still own my 98 V6, and today when driving my 05 around the wet streets of my town i realized just how different the two cars feel. My 98 feels smaller, more agile (of course, it is like 300 lbs lighter).....but when i go fast in it........it feels FAST. The first time i pushed my 05GT over 100 mph, it didn't feel as fast as I thought it would. I thought i was doing like around 75 or so, then looked down and saw i was at 105!
As for the traction control thing....I personally don't condone always driving without it. I usually leave it on for daily driving. The first time i turned it off and tried to accelerate into a left turn out of a parking lot the car came around almost 90 degrees extra on me.....quite embarrassing. It can be hard to judge proper throttling in certain situations and the car can suddenly lurch. My 98 is famous for that. It's only fun to turn it off when you want a fast takeoff or to spin your radials a bit going in a straight line.

Yeah, tracion control dosn't seem to help me out much in the rain. I still slide around corners effortlesly and spin the tires like crazy. I dont know if it just the way that I think, but I think that once I get my spring I will feel it more. I feel like the springs wont be compressing as much in the back when I punch it therefore the punch will be more apparent to me and my seat. In other words the suspension wont be "abosorbing" the hit as much. I have nothing to support my theory, but it sounds good to me. Just for refernece "feeling the punch" is not the only reason I want springs. The main reason is so I dont get as much body lean/role in hard turns.
