Default Problem: Grinding/Squeeking When Changing Gears [video provided]

Just started today when I was about to leave work. I tried to switch to reverse and I hear this terrible grinding noise, not to mention resistance that's never been there. So when I get home and park, I hear this squeeky noise instead, and again with the resisitance. It seems the shifter sticks when I try to pull it out of park, but moving upward is fine.

The car itself seems fine, no wierd noises or movements, everything I hear is coming from the shifter. Here I took a video of it:

Already called the dealership about the problem. Their techs aren't in on the weekends, so I have to take time out of my weekdays to get this fixed... almost impossible if they don't provide a loaner.

Is it possible for this to be normal? I highly doubt that this has been going on and I suddenly notice it now.. Can any automatic owners verify my problem? Perhaps you could go jump in your automatic and change gears a little to see what noises you get.

Thanks for all your help guys.
