Default Weight differences?

Where should I look to find the weights of 05 V6 and V8 Stangs. The old SVO 2.3 turbos had enough weight savings to accelerate close to 5.0L and out handle in corners. I tried SCCA racing where they use a few more corners than most. If there is a big enough difference between V6 and V8s I might have another option.

Curb weight (according to Car & Driver)

V6: 3444 lbs
GT: 3523 lbs

Each webpage also lists speed stats.

I got the following stats from Cars.com and a pamphlet for the new mustangs I received from the dealership:

V6 mustang 05/06: 3,351 lbs curb weight
V8 mustang 05/06: 3,483 lbs curb weight

Both numbers are for the coupe model. I don't know which set of stats is correct....but I figured I'd pass these along since they turned up identical in two different sources.

You could try edmunds.com, I got a lot of info there when I was shopping for my Stang.

Ultimately, weight difference is rought 100lbs, give or take 30lbs. Not much of a difference. Not enough to make up in performance as you were suggesting, I would imagine.
